Dovetail Terms of Service

Placing an Order

Downpayment

We require a 30% down payment for engagement rings and 50% for other fine jewellery pieces. Once we receive your down payment, our team will begin crafting your custom piece.

Full Payment and Delivery

We'll notify you once your item is ready. You need to settle the remaining balance to claim your order. Please fully pay and claim your order within 30 days. If the balance isn’t settled within this period, the transaction will be forfeited, and the down payment will not be refundable.

Leadtime

Crafting your custom piece takes 3-5 weeks, depending on the design and stone availability. 

At Dovetail, we know that you value every piece of jewellery you order from us; that’s why we ensure that every detail is perfect so we can give you a distinct jewelry piece that reflects your style and unique story. Most of our fine jewellery pieces are crafted to order and made just for you. 

Don’t worry, we know that time is GOLD, so we try our best to beat the promised lead time to the best of our abilities, without compromising the quality.

Guarantee and Warranty

Superior Craftsmanship and Quality Assurance

We guarantee that every piece of jewellery we sell is free from manufacturing defects, reflecting our commitment to superior craftsmanship. We rigorously run quality assurance checks on each piece to guarantee our clients' satisfaction. Your confidence in our products is our top priority.

Once the item is delivered to you (through pick-up or door-to-door delivery), you are responsible for diligently checking the item you ordered from us.

For Stones (Lab Diamond)

At Dovetail, we uphold our commitment to authenticity. We meticulously select every lab-grown diamond to ensure the highest quality and brilliance. Our lab diamonds are IGI Certified with a unique report number inscribed on the stone. Your jewellery piece will include an IGI Certificate, as proof of the stone's authenticity.

For some finished jewellery pieces that are non-IGI Certified, we issue Store Certificates that detail the exact specifications and characteristics of each unique piece (upon request). This ensures you always know the quality and authenticity of your Dovetail jewellery.

For Finished Jewelry

Our warranty includes free cleaning and minor repairs, with shipping costs covered by the buyer. We offer lifetime FREE labour for minor repairs. Additional costs such as materials used for replating and size adjustments will be charged to the client.

Dovetail rings and jewellery are guaranteed to be free from defects. However, this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by the customer.

Please note that any missing stones will NOT be replaced for free, as they undergo stress tests for durability before delivery.

Common issues not covered by the free service include:

  • Discoloration of precious metals caused by chemicals.

  • Prongs catch or bend over time due to everyday wear, potentially causing a gemstone to fall out.

  • Loss of a gemstone due to damage or accidents during everyday wear.
